What are ways to improve a site ranking?
The best way to improve traffic to your website is to improve your Search Engine Page rank. Although Search Engine Optimization SEO cannot ensure you, neither a top ranking nor permanent ranking, but it will definitely increase your brand exposure.
Search Engine like Google, MSN or Yahoo uses automated programs knows as "spiders" or "web crawlers" that scan through the entire World Wide Web regularly and rank each web site based on a number of factors. Although Search Engine do not revealed their ranking algorithm, here are list of SEO basic that you can consider getting a good page ranking.
- Back Link
: If any web site with a considerable good ranking and it is link to your website, there is likelihood to elevate your ranking.
- Internal Links: Create a site map. This will help visitors and spiders to navigate your site. It is recommends to include link to site map on every page and make sure you don't have any broken link.
- Meta Tags: Meta Tags is hidden from visitor view and it is meant for spiders to read. This gives the spiders information about your site and they include important items such as the title of each page, relevant keywords describing site content, and the description of the site that shows up when a search engine returns a search. Make sure your Meta tags accurately describe your content.
- Keywords: Make sure your targeted keywords or a phase appears in the Meta tag and in your website content.
By following this guidelines, should help in your page ranking. Once you have optimized your site, be patient because it may take up to 2 months for you to see any result.
